How do I sign up for a Luxon Pay account?

You can create a Luxon Pay account by downloading our official app from the Google Play Store or App Store, or by signing up via our web platform on desktop or laptop.

1. Sign up
Create your account by entering your basic details.

2. Verify your account
To unlock all features, complete the verification process by uploading a valid photo ID in the Account Information section.

3. Start using Luxon Pay
Once verified, you can send and receive money, manage your funds, and make payments with supported merchants.

How long does it take to set up my Luxon Pay account?

Setting up your Luxon Pay account takes just a few minutes.

After creating your account, you will need to complete identity and address verification to access all features.

1. Account setup
If you do not finish the setup immediately, you can continue later by following the platform notifications. Please note that the registration process must be completed within 72 hours, otherwise your account will be deleted and you will need to start again.

2. Verification time
Document verification usually takes up to 24 hours.

Can I start setting up my Luxon Pay account and finish it later?

Yes. You can pause the setup process and continue where you left off at a later time.

Just follow the in-app prompts to complete your registration. Please note that the setup process must be completed within 72 hours.

Why do I need to verify my ID and address?

Verifying your identity and address is a standard requirement for any regulated financial account – and Luxon Pay is no different.

It’s how we keep your money safe, protect you from fraud, and make sure everyone using the platform can trust it.

We only ever ask for what we genuinely need – nothing more.

What documents do I need to verify my Luxon Pay account?

To verify your Luxon Pay account, you will need to upload the following documents:

1. A valid photo ID

Accepted documents:
• Passport
• Driving licence

We do not accept birth certificates or handwritten documents.

2. Proof of address (must be dated within the last 3 months)

Accepted documents:
• Utility bill (gas, water, electricity, internet, landline, or council tax)
• Bank statement
• Mortgage agreement
• Tax assessment document
• Bank confirmation letter
• Online banking receipt (PDF format)

Your document must:

• Show your full name and residential address
• Be dated within the last 3 months
• Be provided as an original PDF or a clear photo of the physical document showing all four corners
• Display all information clearly, including any stamps or logos

If none of the above documents are available, you may submit a notarised certificate of residency, signed and stamped and issued within the last 3 months.

How long does it take to verify my documents?

Once your documents are submitted, our team will usually have everything reviewed within 24 hours.

How will I know when my Luxon Pay account is verified?

Once your documents have been approved, you’ll receive a push notification.

Does Luxon Pay carry out a credit check on me?

No credit checks here. Setting up or verifying your Luxon Pay account has no impact on your credit score – so there’s nothing to worry about on that front.
