What is my home currency, and why do I have one?

Your home currency is the main currency linked to your account. It is set automatically based on the country you live in.
For example, if you live in the UK, your home currency will be GBP (British Pound).

Your home currency is used as the default for certain transactions and helps ensure a smoother payment experience.

You can change your home currency at any time:

1. Go to Currencies
2. Select the three dots next to a currency
3. Tap Set as home currency

📱 App
1. Tap the ☰ menu in the top-left corner
2. Select Home Currency
3. Tap a currency to make it your home currency

How do I access the currency exchange feature?

The currency exchange feature is available to fully verified Luxon Pay users.

Once verified, you can access it as follows:

1. Select Exchange from your dashboard
2. Use the dropdown arrows next to each currency to choose the currencies you want to exchange

📱 App
1. Tap the Luxon Pay icon in the centre of the bottom menu
2. Select Exchange
3. Use the dropdown arrows next to each currency to choose the currencies you want to exchange

Can I increase my currency exchange limits?

Yes. Your currency exchange limits depend on your verification level and VIP level.

To request a higher limit, contact our Support Team via Live Chat.

Which currencies are available with a Luxon Pay account?

Luxon Pay supports 38 account currencies, including:

Exchange rates are updated every 10 minutes. Currency exchanges may be subject to fees depending on yourVIP level.

What fees are associated with exchanging currencies?

Currency exchange fees depend on your VIP level.

The conversion rate is updated every 10 minutes, and any applicable limits and fees are listed on our website. Luxon Pay may update these from time to time.

You will always see the exact fee in-app before confirming a currency exchange.

Are there any limits on currency exchanges?

Yes. Currency exchange limits depend on your verification level and VIP level.

You can view your current limits and account features here:

How do I exchange currencies?

The currency exchange feature is available to fully verified Luxon Pay users.

How can I add a new currency to my account?

You can add a new currency wallet by exchanging into that currency or by receiving money in that currency.

If you want to add a new currency wallet without holding a balance yet, you can do so as follows:

1. Select Currencies
2. Tap the + icon next to the currency you want to add

📱 App
1. Tap the arrow next to your balance
2. Select Add Currency +

How can I remove a currency from my Luxon Pay account?

You can remove a currency from your wallet as long as the balance is zero.

💻 Desktop
1. Go to Currencies
2. Select the three dots next to the currency
3. Tap Remove

📱 App
1. Tap the arrow next to your balance
2. Swipe left on the currency you want to remove
3. Tap Delete

📌 Important
You must have a zero balance in the currency you want to remove. If there is a remaining balance, you can exchange or withdraw the funds first.

Can I send money to a contact in any currency I hold?

Yes. You can send funds in any currency you hold.

If your contact does not already have a wallet in that currency, Luxon Pay will automatically create one for them and credit the funds.

How is the exchange rate determined?

The exchange rate is based on the current market price for converting one currency into another.

Luxon Pay updates exchange rates every 10 minutes using a real-time rate feed. You can view the exact rate during the exchange process in the app or web platform.

Any applicable fees will always be shown before you confirm the exchange.
